Production Floor & Capacity

A look at the machines, workstations, and shared spaces behind Mikron’s machining and sheet-metal work.

Specific capacities and part-size limits vary by job. Contact us to confirm for your project.

Mori Seiki vertical machining center

Typical capacity for this machine class: 3-axis vertical milling; roughly 30–40 in. X travel and 16–20 in. Y and Z travel; CAT-40 or BT-40 spindle taper, about 8,000–12,000 RPM; automatic tool changer with about 20–30 tools; table load around 1,000–2,000 lb.

This vertical machining center mills precision parts from aluminum, steel, and other common metals. Typical work includes housings, brackets, base plates, and fixtures, from prototypes through production runs.

Finn-Power laser cutting system with automated sheet handling and storage tower

Finn-Power laser cutting system with automated sheet handling and storage tower

Typical capacity for this machine class: Sheet sizes up to roughly 5 × 10 ft with automatic loading and unloading; cuts steel, stainless steel, and aluminum in common sheet gauges through plate thickness.

The laser cuts flat profiles while automated handling loads and unloads sheets. Typical work includes intricate profiles, larger flat parts, and nested production runs prepared for downstream bending.

Timesavers wide-belt finishing machine

Timesavers wide-belt finishing machine (42 RB Series)

Typical capacity for this machine class: Eight rotary brushes for one-pass deburring and edge rounding; published steel edge-radius figures range from about 2–3 mm, with more possible on softer aluminum; handles laser- and punch-cut parts; parts from roughly 2 in. square to full-width panels.

The wide-belt finisher sands and deburrs sheet and plate to leave a consistent edge and surface. Typical projects include enclosure panels, laser-cut plates, and brackets that need a clean, safe, paint-ready edge.

Organized tool holders, collets, and inserts at a machine-side tooling station

Tooling station

Tool holders, collets, and inserts are organized at the station and kept close to the machines. This supports setup and changeover for quick-turn and repeat jobs.

Sample parts display

The display includes machined aluminum and brass components, formed enclosures, heat sinks, and punched or fabricated panels. It offers examples of the range of work shown in the facility.
